Berkshire Hogs

Our journey with Berkshire Hogs started with Annie in the photo below. She was the first hog on our farm in 2012 and she has taught us how to live along side hogs. She is still with us and is currently retired - living her best life.

Not too long after getting Annie we secured some purebred Berkshire stock from an exceptional local hog farm and have been carefully maintaining our breeding lines ever since. 

We offer all the classic cuts from pork chops to spare ribs and all the goods in between.

We specialize in sausages and Charcutrie Salami.
In 2014 we met our master butcher and have built a solid relationship over the years. He is a master sausage maker and we consider ourselves lucky to work with him and his family.

Mangalitza Hogs

Our journey with Mangalitsa Hogs started with a slab of cured pork belly brought back from the Czech Republic by our friends

We fell in love with the melt in your mouth pork deliciousness that is Mangalitsa pork. Fast forward to 2018 and we brought home our own breeding stock from Alberta.

We had no idea we would fall in love with the breed as we did. The heartiness, the versatility, and independence of the sows when farrowing and rearing their young is incredible.

Now we offer all the classic cuts from pork chops to ribs to pork belly to roasts and all the cuts in between.

Cuts vary depending on season and we offer whole hogs to order.

Piglets

Our Berkshire sows farrow twice per year, once in the Spring (Apr/May) and again in the Fall (Sept/Oct).

Our Mangalitsa farrow all year round on their own schedule.

2023 Piglet Prices:

  • Berkshire - $125
  • Mangalitsa cross Berk or Duroc - $135
  • Mangalitsa - castrated males only $150
  • Breeding stock available - $250+

We ask for a 50% deposit on Farrowing, schedule a pick-up date at that time, and the remaining 50% is paid on Pick-up. We accept cash or e-transfer.
